The Matcha Flavored version ledger keeps fast updates readable

This guide covers pack 1.12 on Java 26.2

The current Matcha Flavored version used throughout this site is 1.12, named “Armour Performance Issue Hotfix” on Modrinth, for Minecraft Java Edition 26.2. It follows the large 1.10 multiplayer and update-support release plus the 1.11 recipe hotfix. The project also lists an older line for Java 26.1.2, but recipes, fixes, and behavior from that alpha branch should not be assumed to match the current release.

Each guide displays the pack and game version it covers. The version label identifies its scope; it does not imply official status or guarantee accuracy. If your installed release differs, use the official changelog and in-game recipe book to understand changes to installation, progression, recipes, and item migration. Older guidance may still provide context, but it should not be assumed to describe every newer release.

Version 1.04 was withdrawn; 1.10 became its supported replacement

The creator briefly published 1.04, then deleted it after multiplayer testing exposed too many bugs. Because the release was withdrawn, it does not appear in the official version shelf and this site does not preserve or link to its file. Version 1.10 later arrived with multiplayer support, player update tracking, recipe-unlock recovery, equipment migration trades, and villager trade reset support.

Pack 1.12 is now the current stable Matcha Flavored version for Java 26.2. Do not treat a 1.04 file found in a community mirror, old browser history, launcher cache, or shared server folder as the preferred release. Move through official listed versions, keep a pre-update world backup, and replace the data and resource copies together.

Why answers changed quickly after launch

The 1.0 release arrived on July 24, 2026 and was followed by the Desert Hotfix 1.01, Tutorialisation Hotfix 1.02, and 1.03 within several days. After the withdrawn 1.04 build, 1.10 made the next public jump on August 10; 1.11 restored recipes that were accidentally omitted, and 1.12 followed with multiplayer equipment-performance and gameplay hotfixes. That sequence explains why older answers can disagree. Compare dates and version numbers before repeating a workaround.

A Matcha Flavored version name describes the release focus, but the number is the reliable comparison key. Do not infer compatibility from a file's generic `Matcha_Flavoured.zip` name; several releases use similar filenames. Keep downloaded versions in labelled archive folders outside Minecraft, and place only the active matching copies in the live datapacks and resourcepacks locations.

Replace data and resources as a matched pair

Before changing the Matcha Flavored version, make a dated world backup and preserve the old zip outside the active folders. Download the release from the creator's Modrinth versions page. Replace the copy inside the world's datapacks directory and the copy inside the global resourcepacks directory. Re-select the resource pack if necessary, enter a test copy of the world, and watch for the load message.

Inspect important custom items before and after the update. Data-pack items may use vanilla base items and components that change between releases, so an old stack can become visually or functionally stale. In 1.10, obtaining an existing primary material again can re-trigger revoked recipe-unlock advancements. A Weaponsmith can melt alloy equipment into component parts for rebuilding, but does not preserve enchantments; a Villager Amnestic can reset trades so a villager can receive the new offer set. Test those tools only on a copied world first.

Game version, pack version, and multiplayer are separate questions

A file marked for Java 26.2 should not be assumed to support Bedrock, an older Java release, or a future snapshot. The project is published as a data pack, even though the combined archive also serves resources. Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge are not required for the basic install. Optional mods can still conflict with mechanics, loot, models, or components, so compatibility should be tested in a clean profile before a server is built around the pack.

Multiplayer adds another dimension. Version 1.12 specifically fixes severe Electrum, Adamant, and Shakudo performance problems and another Crystal Heart removal typo, but a feature working in singleplayer still does not prove it works on every server. Record platform, server software, player count, equipped items, difficulty, and other packs when comparing behavior.

How old guidance is retired without erasing history

When a new Matcha Flavored version changes a documented route, this site updates the current instruction and records the former behavior in a release note when it remains useful for existing worlds. It does not change a page date merely to appear fresh. A significant recipe, feature, compatibility, or troubleshooting change is required before the page is updated.

Planned features remain separate from released features. The creator's roadmap discusses additional fishing, structures, bosses, decorations, brewing, and migration ideas. They are useful context but not current instructions. The version ledger promotes them only after the public pack contains the system and a player can verify it. This prevents searches for future ideas from turning into false promises.

For the definitive release file and changelog, use Modrinth. This independent guide interprets the effect on players and links back to the source rather than mirroring downloads. If the badge on a guide is older than your pack, treat the page as orientation and verify details in the newest changelog before spending rare materials or migrating a long-term world.
