A Mattock can use a hoe carrier and a Dolabra can use an axe carrier, with custom tool rules, durability, lore, and attributes layered onto the output. The Smithing definition therefore names the base item that matters to the engine even when the player-facing role is broader.

Do not assume every alloy route uses the same template.
